Private Duty or Victorian Order of Nurses

No coverage in or out of hospital.

Nursing Homes/Homes for the Aged

Residents must have resided in Alberta for three consecutive years prior to application for services, and require continuous nursing services and regular medical supervision in a participating nursing home.

• accommodation, meals and laundry
• personal services
• special diets when necessary
• routine drugs and dressings ordered by the attending physician
• utilization fees apply

Chronic Care

patients are required to pay a charge per day after the first 120 days in an auxiliary (long-term or chronic illness) hospital

Home Care

No coverage.
